The Rules
FORMAT (Four Person Scramble)- All team members tee off selecting the best drive. All play from that spot selecting the best second shot and continuing in that fashion until the ball is holed. Once any ball is holed that is the team score.
USGA Rule Exceptions - All USGA Rules apply with the following exceptions:

TEES - All Players Will Play From Black Tees
WINSTAR LOCAL RULES - Native Areas shall be played as “Through the Green”. Waste Bunkers are considered “Through the Green” and you may ground your club in these bunkers on Holes 3,4,5,7,8,12,14, and 18.
OUT OF BOUNDS - Defined by inside edge of fence surrounding the property. The fence surrounding the water wells to the right of #10 and #11 are not out of bounds and are considered ground under repair.
Right on Holes- 3,8,9,10,11,14,15,and 16
LATERAL HAZARDS - Defined by red stakes or lines when present. Penalty of one stroke on holes 2,6,9,10,13,16,18.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR - Any staked trees, areas marked in white paint, dirt extensions of cart paths, sodded areas where seams are still present, all ruts and drainage areas gain free relief and one club length no closer to the hole.
CART RULES - Use 90 degree rule on Par 4’s and 5’s, avoiding mounds and returning to the cart paths before the white lines in front of the greens. Remain on the path around greens, tees, and Par 3’s. Do not drive carts in our native grass or waste bunkers.
INDIVIDUAL WINNERS - No individual can be on the winning team more than twice in a calendar year. This does not apply when multiple teams tie for first place and no team wins the grand prize.
FIRST PLACE TIE BREAKER - If two or more teams tie, a sudden death tiebreaker will take place on Hole #9. Teams will continue to play the tough Par 3 until an eventual winner is determined. If for any reason darkness begins to jeopardize play, the event rules committee can deem only one more hole will be played to determine the winner. If the last hole played is tied, prize money will be split evenly among the teams.
COMPLETE MATCH - If play is halted for any reason, every team must complete a minimum of nine holes to declare a winner. If less than nine holes are completed, refunds will be given to each team minus the cost of amenities which were utilized. If a playoff is unable to take place and less than 18 holes are completed but more than 9 holes are completed the following will apply. For instance, seven teams completed 15 holes and five teams completed 14 holes, the first fourteen holes will be used to determine a winner. The grand prize winner will be awarded for the team score as it stood to par on the first 14 holes played.
LIGHTENING & RAIN POLICY - Local Golf Professional and Golf Course Superintendent shall be the sole judge to suspend play because of excessive rain. Suspension of play will be communicated to your group’s official via GPS System and radio. Dangerous weather will be monitored and play will be suspended if necessary for everyone’s safety. If play is suspended, captains should mark the position of the ball with tees.
PACE OF PLAY - 1st Player to play on each team has 45 seconds to play their shot and subsequent players have 30 seconds. Officials will monitor speed of play.
